The color scheme is inspired by the American flag, but with a twist, altering the red to a softer pink pastel, making it more feminine while still nodding to the patriotic and political values of the brand. I used typography to bring character to the requested text-based design and incorporated icons representing love and family, which also reflect Nick Freitas's value of family. A handwritten-style note on the other side of the mug ties the design together, offering a heartfelt message from the buyer to the recipient. The mug’s target audience is sons and daughters who follow Nick Freitas and are looking for a Mother’s Day gift.
